Who We Are – Empowered Artist Academy (TEAA)
 

At The Empowered Artist Academy (TEAA), we believe art should be accessible, engaging, and meaningful for everyone—whether you're a young artist, a parent looking to support your child’s creativity, or an adult exploring art for fun, self-care, or skill-building.
 

As an experienced K-12 educator, author, illustrator lifelong art student, and practicing artist, I’ve developed a program that introduces diverse artistic styles, techniques, and influences, with a focus on multicultural modern artists from the last two centuries. TEAA  is a new and growing initiative, designed to extend art education beyond the limited time students receive in school and provide creative learning opportunities virtually and in person.

 

Who We Serve
 

For Kids & Young Artists: We offer a space for children to explore their creativity and story telling abilities, practice social emotional skills and strategies, and develop real artistic skills through experimentation with various mediums—pencils, watercolor, oil pastels, digital art, and more. Our structured but fun lessons introduce students to art techniques, history, and even entrepreneurship in ways that are relatable!

For Parents: Many parents want to support their child's artistic journey but don’t know where to start. TEAA provides easy-to-follow lessons guides and resources to help families encourage creativity at home—no prior art experience required.

For Adults & Creative Enthusiasts: Whether you're looking to enhance your sip-and-paint skills, coming back to an old hobby and want to explore  new techniques, or just find a creative outlet, our beginner-friendly lessons help you gain confidence and have fun making art.

TEAA is still in its pilot stage, and we’re excited to grow and refine the experience based on our students’ needs. Join us as we build a vibrant, inclusive community of creatives!
